Dear Friend,
Hello, My name is Kyle Lovell, I'm 18 years old and getting ready to start my senior year at Harmony High School. A place where I have spent almost all my life as a student. I have been a student at Harmony since I was 3 years old. Yes, I've been here for 15 years and its been an incredible life changing experience for me. I don't know what my personality would be like if I went to a different school.
At Harmony School, during your junior year the school gives you a semester to prepare for your senior project. I know what you're thinking..What is a senior project? During your senior year at Harmony, you get 3 months (a semester) to go out into the world and explore whatever you are interested in pursuing as a career. We can work as an intern in our field of choice or we can work hands on (like I'm going to do) and complete a project. I'm also working at getting an internship with a custom car designer in our area.
I'm extremely excited about this opportunity as this gives me a chance to get prepared for my college years. Over the last few years, I've seen my friends get a chance to pursue their dream careers. I have friends that are in college right now working on their degrees after completing their senior projects at Harmony School. I can't wait to get started.
I plan to go into a career for Mechanical Engineering and attending Purdue University. So, what better opportunity do I have to get a head start pursuing the career I hope to go into? Personally, I don’t think it could get any better. I get a three month head start to prepare my life, I am very excited about it.
With my love for cars, I have decided to buy and restore an older model car. I originally wanted to buy an old muscle car and make it my baby. Instead, I’ve decided to buy a 90’s Ford Bronco and restore it back to health. Once I’ve got everything up and running, I plan to continue fixing the truck up into a pure muddin’ truck.
The way our Senior Projects work, we have to fund our projects by ourselves. This gives us the responsibility of seeing the project from start to finish and to put forth the effort to make it work. There are a few ways I plan on raising the money for this project. I will continue working my job (I work for my Dad in his office) everyday and I'll be organizing a few fundraisers. 
I plan to be working a lot during my project but at the same time I’m planning an online fundraiser using some techniques I've learned from my Dad over the last few years. I’m going to put on a Bronco Building Sale and I need your help in making this happen.
Three months of working on a car can potentially be some big money. As well as all the ideas I have for the Bronco, it could get pricey. But I’m willing to take that chance because this is what I love, and I’ll love doing it.
